Our Aalo centre has celebrated the Golden Jubilee of Ramakrishna Mission School (1966-2016) from 2 to 4 February 2018.
Two books (viz. ‘The Blossoming for Ramakrishna Mission in Aalo’ and ‘Sister Nivedita for Children’) and a DVD (containing three films viz. ‘…a path travelled for 50 years…’, ‘Visit of Rev. Swami Vireshwaranandaji Maharaj to Aalo in 1979’ and ‘Dream Maker’ – a film made in 1976) were released on this occasion.
Revered Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math and Mission, was President of the meeting for all three days.
On 2 February 2018 Sri Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, participated in the celebration as Chief Guest. Brig. C. Dayalan, Cdr 5 Inf Bde, Aalo, was Special Guest.
On 3 February 2018 Sri Honchun Ngandam, Hon’ble Education Minister, AP, was Chief Guest. Sri Jarkar Gamlin, Hon. Minister of Tax & Excise and Tourism, AP, was Guest of Honor and Col. Sameer Malik, Cdr 44 BRTF, Aalo, was Special Guest.
On 4 February 2018 Col. U. Nanadakumar, Commanding Officer, 356 Field Hospital, Aalo, was Special Guest.
Ex-students, government officials, our teaching and non-teaching staff and students participated in the meeting.
Many Swamis who served Aalo centre (such as Swami Shukatmananda (Ulsoor), Swami Girishananda (Belur Math), Swami Atmavidananda (Vishakhapatnam), Swami Sudarshanananda (Ulsoor), Shukadevananda (Chennai Vidyapith), Swami Kripamayananda (Toronto, Canada) came to such remote part of India and participated in the meeting.
On 5 February 2018 Revered Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj blessed sixty two spiritual aspirants by initiating them into Mantra-Diksha.
