Inauguration of DGR Resettlement Training Course: Morabadi, Ranchi, July 2025

A 60-day skill development training programme for ex-servicemen, sponsored by the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, was inaugurated at Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi.

The inaugural function was held on 21 July 2025 at 11:00 am with Vedic chanting and lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Colonel (Retd.) Sri S. K. Gupta, Deputy Director, Sainik Welfare Directorate, Ranchi, along with Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary, and Swami Antarananda of the Ashrama. Swami Bhaveshananda welcomed the Chief Guest with a traditional offering comprising an angavastram, organic products from Divyayan, and a book on Swamiji.

In his address, Colonel Gupta encouraged the ex-servicemen to take full advantage of the training and contribute towards building a developed India. He emphasized the importance of ensuring proper documentation before retirement and availing the benefits of various government schemes.

Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh, Senior Scientist of Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, urged the participants to maintain discipline and dedication during the training in dairy, poultry, and goatery management, and to pursue self-employment to achieve self-reliance post-retirement.

Swami Bhaveshananda, in his welcome address, inspired the participants to work towards a prosperous and self-reliant India. He urged them to embody the ideals of Swamiji in contributing to nation-building after completing the training. He stressed the importance of discipline and value-based education for achieving one’s goals and becoming self-employed. Swamiji also highlighted the integrated approach of theoretical and practical sessions, combined with yoga and moral education, to empower the trainees for active participation in national development.

This training programme will continue from 21 July to 19 September 2025.

Present on the occasion were Sri O. P. Dubey, Sri Sanjay Dinda, Er. O. P. Sharma, Er. Vikas Kumar, Sri Gambhir Kumar Mahato of Divyayan, 38 ex-servicemen participants, and several other staff members.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Swami Antarananda, and the programme was conducted by Dr. Rabindra Kumar Singh.
