Inauguration of Maa Sarada Library Building at Ramakrishna Ashrama, Muvattupuzha


On 17 February 2022, Most Revered Srimat Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj inaugurated the “Maa Sarada  Library Building” at Muvattupuzha(35 KM away from Kalady), Sub-Centre of Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama Kalady.

After the formal Inauguration, Revered Maharaj did Arati to Divine Trio.  The assembly was conducted at the Library hall to receive the words of blessings from Revered Maharaj and to felicitate Cochin Shipyard who financed the project under their CSR scheme.  In his speech, He remembered the importance of going to the library and reading books, during his College days. In spite of E-books available today in electronic gadgets, He would prefer reading printed books. He narrated how Swami Saradananda, who took the task of writing and publishing the biography of Sri Ramakrishna, “Ramakrishna the Great Master”, in order to repay the loan taken to build a home for Holy Mother at Calcutta.

Revered Swaprabhanandaji Maharaj of Nettayam (Trivendrum) translated his speech to Malayalam. 

The authorities of the Cochin Shipyard, were handed over with a letter of gratitude and later they were felicitated.

Swami Akshayatmanada (In-charge of the Muvattuppuzha Sub-centre) delivered the vote of thanks.

In the Ranganathananda Dham Courtyard at  Kalady Ashrama,  Revered Maharaj planted an Amalaki (gooseberry) sapling.
