On July 7, 2024, coinciding with the auspicious Ratha Yatra Day, a grand inauguration ceremony was held at Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Sikra-Kulingram, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj presided over the event, which included the dedication of several new facilities:
- A new bedroom for Shri Shri Thakur
- A two-storied building housing a kitchen and dining hall
- Renovated quarters for the Revered President Maharaj
Following the inauguration, a special puja (worship) was performed in honor of Sri Ramakrishna. Revered President Maharaj then installed Sri Sri Thakur’s image in its new location within the temple, adjacent to the garbha griha.
A public meeting capped off the celebration. Swami Anantananda, Adhyaksha of the Sikra-Kulingram center, delivered the welcome address. Swami Suvirananda, General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, addressed the devotees. Finally, Srimat Swami Gautamananda ji, President, delivered the benedictory address. The program drew an impressive crowd of approximately 3,000 devotees and 160 sadhus. Lunch prasad was served to all attendees after the meeting.
