Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith (Primary Section), Jhargram — the first co-educational English-medium school run by the Ramakrishna Mission in West Bengal following the CBSE curriculum — began its journey on Friday, 4th April 2025, with 160 students enrolled in Classes I to IV.
To mark this historic occasion, a special inaugural function was organized, presided over by Swami Shukadevananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Saradapith. The event was graced by Swami Shastrajnananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur, along with dignitaries including Sri Sunil Agarwala (District Magistrate), Sri Shubhrajit Gupta, WBCS (Exe.) (SDO, Jhargram), Smt. Chinmoyee Marandi (Zilla Sabhadhipati, Jhargram), Smt. Kabita Ghosh (Chairperson, Jhargram Municipality), Shri Partha De, WBCS (Exe.) (P.O.-cum-DWO, BCW & TD, Jhargram), and several other distinguished guests.
Messages of benediction and best wishes from Most Revered President Maharaj, Vice-President Maharaj-jis, General Secretary Maharaj, and Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, were read out during the programme.
Regular classes commenced on 7th April 2025 and are presently being conducted on the ground floor of the school building, which is under construction.
