On 16 February 2022, the auspicious occasion of Swami Adbhutanandaji Maharaj Jayanthi and Maghi Purnima, “Ranganathananda Dham” — monks quarters cum devotees dining hall, was inaugurated at Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady, by Most Revered Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj, Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, and Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math, Chennai. Monks from our centres in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka were present. Besides Sri Rosy John, MLA of the constituency, Panchayat President, ward members, many distinguished people and local public of the Kalady were present on the occasion.
A small public function was conducted after the inauguration in the ashrama courtyard. Benedictory letters of Most Revered President Maharaj Swami Smaranananda ji, and Vice-President Maharajs – Revered Swami Prabhananda ji and Revered Swami Suhitananda ji, were readout. Revered Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj, Vice-President, gave his benedictory speech. The video message of Revered Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj, General Secretary, was played to the gathering.
In the early hours of the morning, the Special Puja and Homa were performed at the new building. Vaidika Homas were conducted on 15 February 2022 evening and 16 February 2022 morning by professional priests from nearby Sringeri Math and Mysuru.
In the afternoon Revered Gautamananda ji Maharaj also laid the foundation stone for the new open stage construction at the Brahmanandodayam School grounds.
