Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip celebrated the inauguration of their new Higher Secondary School Building on May 10th, 2024, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
The Inauguration Ceremony
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag. Swami Vimalatmananda ji inaugurated the new building, along with the photograph of Swami Vivekananda and the smart class. Swami Tattwavidananda ji inaugurated the Physics laboratory, while Swami Pranananda ji inaugurated the computer science laboratory.
The esteemed guest, Shri Bankim Chandra Hazra, Honorable Minister of Sundarban Affairs, Government of West Bengal, inaugurated the Chemistry laboratory. Additionally, guests unveiled plaques commemorating the newly reconstructed Biology and Geography labs.
Felicitations and Recognition
The program included a felicitation ceremony. Swami Vimalatmananda ji presented a photograph of Swami Vivekananda and a cheque of Rs. 5000/- to Shri Pushpendu Ghosh, a student who secured the 11th rank in this year’s Madhyamik Examination.
Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip also acknowledged the contributions of 85 workers involved in the building’s construction. Each worker received a bag, clothes, and pictures of Swami Vivekananda.
Attendance
The event witnessed a large gathering about a thousand people including school students, guardians, teachers from both their schools and other schools, monks from nearby centers, devotees, and admirers. The program concluded with a public meeting where the chief guests addressed the audience.
