On 18 November 2021, as part of Swami Vijnanananda Maharaj Jayanti, a renovated and expanded “Swami Vijnanananda Memorial Hall” was inaugurated by the District Secretary at Ramakrishna Mission, Batticaloa, a sub-centre under Ramakrishna Mission, Colombo, Sri Lanka. A commemorative souvenir and a CD for the rededication ceremony of the prayer hall was also released on that day. Swami Vijnanananda is the only direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna who visited Batticaloa.
