Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai organized Vivekotsav to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, featuring a range of competitions for school and college students. The events, held from December 1, 2024, to January 25, 2025, included Inter-School Elocution, Recitation, Reading (for Hearing Impaired Students), and Multi-Talent contests (Quiz, Yoga, PowerPoint, Drawing, and Devotional Song Singing). Additionally, Inter-Collegiate competitions in Short-Film Making, Essay Writing, and PowerPoint Presentation were conducted.
The prize distribution ceremony took place on February 9, 2025, at the Ramakrishna Mission Mumbai premises. A total of 7,086 students participated in Vivekotsav, with 1,650 students from 174 schools competing in the Inter-School events and 236 students from 29 colleges taking part in the Inter-Collegiate competitions.
In the Inter-School segment, prizes were awarded as follows: 872 in Elocution and Recitation, 97 in Reading, and 181 in Multi-Talent competitions. For the Inter-Collegiate competitions, 26 prizes were given for Essay Writing, 15 for Short-Film Making, and 11 for PowerPoint Presentations.
