Kerala State Level Women Teachers’ Convention on Sanskrit, Kalady, July 2018

A State Level Women Teachers’ Convention was organised by Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady, on 14 July 2018, to propagate the greatness and importance Sanskrit language among masses.

M.C. Josephine, Chairperson of State Vanitha Commission inaugurated the function. State President Madhusoodan presided the Inaugural Session. Swami Srividyananda, Manager of the School and Adhyaksha of Sri Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama gave benedictory address. Sri Rojy M. John, MLA (Angamaly) and Dr. K.V. Ajithkumar, Sankara Samskrit University nodal officer were the guest speakers. Smt. K.T. Thulasi, Pancayat President, Smt. Mini Biju, Ward Member, Dr, Sindhu  K. Kumar and Smt. T. Sandhya, HM, BHSS addressed the gathering.

Short film maker in Sanskrit, Smt. Shruthy Saimon and famous writer Smt. Valsala, were honoured.

Sri P. Padmanabhan, State President of Sanskrit teachers presided another session. Prof. A. Subramanya Iyer, Manager Sringeri Math was the chief guest. Smt. T.R. Manjusha Devi presented the paper on need of Women Empowerment. Kumari Fathima Mandath (a student of  Brahmanandodayam School) online news reader in Sanskrit was honoured by Smt. Lakshmi Kumari of Vivekananda Kendra, Kodanganalur.

After lunch cultural programmes were staged by delegates and local teachers.

The Valedictory Session was presided by Smt. P.M. Shailaja, Vice- President of Samskrit teachers. C.P. Sanal Chandran T,K., Santhosh Kumar, Ayyampuzha Hari Kumar addressed the meeting. P. Sree Latha Kunjimmon gave the Vote of Thanks.
