Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru conducted competitions for Secondary and Higher Secondary students on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE).
42 Institutes including Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala (our own institution) were invited to participate in the Essay, Elocution, Poetry, Painting and Yogasana competitions. We received duly filled participation forms from 24 Secondary schools (classes 8,9,10) and 11 Higher Secondary schools. Nearly 692 students enrolled for the competitions which were scheduled to be held on 13 July ’22 and 17 July ’22. 580 Participated in the competitions. 86 students won the Prizes.
A separate ceremony for prize distribution was held on 01 August 2022 at RIMSE with Sri D Madegowda (Ex. MLC of the Mysuru constituency, Ex. Chairman of the MUDA) as the chief guest and Dr. K. Anantha Ramu, Retd. Professor of Kannada, the University of Mysore as the guest of honour. Swami Muktidananda, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru presided over the function. A befitting patriotic beginning was rendered by hoisting the National flag at the venue followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The programme was attended by the Prize-winning students, escorting teachers and parents. The chief guest and the guest of honour spoke on the theme ‘Swami Vivekananda’s vision for India and India at 100’. Swami Muktidananda delivered a benedictory address followed by the distribution of prizes.
