Maternity and Child Welfare Services: Sribhumi, August 2025

Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi, Assam

Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi, has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the Maternity and Child Welfare Services Project, generously funded by the Infosys Foundation. The project has been successfully implemented across multiple villages in the Sribhumi district, benefiting a total of 363 individuals through different phases of distribution and awareness programmes.

2 August 2025 – Natupur Village
Beneficiaries: 113 (60 mothers and 53 children)
Items distributed: Horlicks Mother’s Plus (500 gm), Cerelac (350 gm), Soyabean chunks (1 kg), Chana (1 kg).

5 August 2025 – Sribhumi (Second Phase)
Beneficiaries: 54 (28 mothers and 26 children)
Items distributed: Horlicks Mother’s Plus / Protinex (500 gm), Cerelac (350 gm), Soyabean chunks (1 kg), Masoor Dal (1 kg).

7 August 2025 – Latur Village
Beneficiaries: 72 (42 mothers and 30 children)
An awareness camp was also conducted.
Items distributed: Horlicks Mother’s Plus / Protinex (500 gm), Cerelac (350 gm), Soyabean chunks (1 kg), Chana (1 kg).

8 August 2025 – Latur Village (Second Phase)
Beneficiaries: 40 (20 mothers and 20 children)
Items distributed (as per doctor’s and nurse’s recommendations): Horlicks Mother’s Plus / Protinex (500 gm), Cerelac (350 gm), Soyabean chunks (1 kg), Medicines as prescribed.

12 August 2025 – Sribhumi (Third Phase)
Beneficiaries: 84 (42 mothers and 42 children)
Items distributed: Horlicks Mother’s Plus / Protinex (500 gm), Cerelac (350 gm), Soyabean chunks (1 kg).

Awareness Camp – Srigouri Village
Beneficiaries: 71 (36 mothers and 35 children)
An awareness camp was organised, followed by distribution of nutritional items.

17 August 2025 – Sribhumi
Food items and medicines were distributed based on the survey and recommendations of the attending doctor and nurse.

19 August 2025 – Sribhumi (Fourth Phase)
Beneficiaries: 41 (21 mothers and 20 children)
The distribution of food items and medicines was carried out as per the survey findings and medical advice.
