Medical Camp and Relief Operations: Viveknagar, Agartala, June 2025

Ramakrishna Mission, Viveknagar, Agartala, Tripura

Owing to incessant rainfall over the past few days, several areas in Agartala and its suburbs have been severely affected, leading to the displacement of many families. In response, the Government of Tripura opened multiple relief camps/shelters to accommodate the homeless.

Ramakrishna Mission, Viveknagar, promptly joined the humanitarian efforts and initiated relief services from 1st June 2025 onwards.

  • 1st June 2025: Cooked food was distributed among 80 displaced individuals at a relief camp in the Pratapgarh area during the night.
  • 2nd June 2025: Afternoon food distribution continued at the Pratapgarh area, addressing the growing needs. Additionally, 80 bedsheets were distributed among homeless residents at the Indranagar Relief Camp to provide some comfort and warmth.
  • 3rd June 2025: A Special Medical Camp was organized at the Pratapgarh English Medium School Relief Camp, where 1,200 people had taken shelter. Free medical consultations and medicines were provided. Cooked food was also served to all residents of the camp.

The relief efforts received encouraging support and recognition with a visit from Sri Biplab Kumar Deb, Member of Parliament, and the Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, who inspected the facilities and appreciated the timely services provided.

The Mission remains committed to extending support to the distressed with compassion and efficiency during these trying times.
