Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi, has been actively providing free medical services to the local community. In August 2024 alone, the Mission conducted three separate health camps:
- Free Medical Check-up Camps: Two camps were held on August 11th and 18th, respectively. Under the supervision of Dr. Arindam Ganguly, a total of 50 patients received free medical check-ups and medications. To make healthcare more accessible, the Mission has partnered with a local clinical lab for affordable laboratory tests.
- Free Cataract Detection Camp: In collaboration with Drishti Netralaya Eye Hospital and the National Programme for Control of Blindness, a camp was organized on August 25th. Out of 46 people screened, 21 were diagnosed with cataracts and 15 of them were offered free surgery.
- Free Routine Immunization Camp: A camp was held on August 28th in partnership with Digboi CHC. A total of 35 individuals, including pregnant women and children, received free immunization.
