Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, has successfully organized two health camps in October 2024, providing vital healthcare services to the local community.
Free Neurology Camp
On October 19, 2024, The Mission, successfully organized a one-day free health camp. The camp featured renowned Neurologist Dr. Sushil Razdan, alongside other specialists like Dr. Rajni Razdan.
A wide range of free medical services was offered, including consultations with specialists in neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, gynecology, dentistry, ENT, ophthalmology, allopathy, Ayurveda, physiotherapy, and clinical psychology. Additionally, free blood sugar, HbA1c, and blood pressure checks were provided.
For a nominal fee of Rs. 1000 (discounted from the usual Rs. 1400), patients could avail a comprehensive full-body check-up covering 66 parameters. Over 307 patients benefited from the expertise of 15 doctors at this camp.
Dhanwantari Jayanti Celebrations
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Dhanwantari, the divine physician, the Mission organized a special program on October 28, 2024.
The event aimed to honor the ancient Indian system of Ayurveda and its contribution to holistic well-being. It included:
- Lectures on Ayurveda: Renowned experts like Swami Mahaprajnananda, Dr. Jatinder Gupta, Dr. Sujata Sathu, and Dr. Lotika Bharati delivered insightful talks on Ayurvedic lifestyle and the legacy of Lord Dhanwantari.
- Free Ayurvedic Health Camp: A free health camp offered Ayurvedic consultations and medicines to attendees.
- Student Outreach: Over 130 students and teachers from St. Xavier Convent School, Barnai, received free health check-ups and medicines.
Distinguished guests from the Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad and the Government Ayurvedic Hospital graced the occasion with their presence.
