The Clinic of Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Durban, South Africa held a medical outreach camp in Ladysmith on Sunday 20 August 2023.
There were over 700 consultations in Paediatrics, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Audiology, Optometry, Psychiatry and Psychology.
The services offered included glucose and blood pressure screening. Testing for vision and prescriptions for spectacles, dispensing of free medication and laboratory tests, ECGs, chest x-rays, pap smears and ultrasounds were also performed. A total of 614 indigent patients were treated.
14 units of blood were collected at the Bood Donor Clinic held in collaboration with the South African Blood Donor Services during the Medical Camp.
Meals were served to all patients and volunteers attending.
