Medical Relief Camp by Seva Pratishthan at Ganga Sagar Mela


Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan organized Medical Relief Camp at Gangasagar Mela. The Camp was inaugurated at 7-00 a.m. on 11 January 2020 and continued till 16 Jan 2020, 10-00 p.m. It was manned by 36 members consisting of 1 monastic member, 6 doctors, 2 male nurses, 7 pharmacists, 1 driver, 2 cooks, 3 GDAs and 14 volunteers.

The Camp treated 8374 patients, out of which 5192 were male, 3007 female and 175 children. Amongst these patients 27 received indoor treatment.

180 pieces of blankets supplied by Headquarters were distributed amongst poor pilgrims and Sadlms. Apart from this, 25 pieces of old gerua clothes were distributed to Sadhus.

Besides rendering medical services the Ashrama also distributed about 5000 copies of religious books and 35000 photos of Sri Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda among the pilgrims.
