This year the Vedanta Society of Northern California was again able to hold an in-person retreat program at its Olema retreat after several years during which this annual celebration had to be conducted remotely, online, due to the limitations imposed on public assembly by the coronavirus emergency.
On Sunday, May 28, there were two programs, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, featuring presentations by six devotees, members of the Vedanta Society, all devoted to the topic: “A Survival Kit for the Spiritual Journey”. A Question and Answer session followed each set of three presentations.
On Monday, May 29, the main public day, the subject was “The Future of Vedanta in America”. Swami Tattwamayananda, Bobby Coleman and Richard Schimpf participated in the discussions which were followed by Questions and Answers. Swami Vedananda welcomed the gathering.
Swami Tattwamayananda, the minister-in-charge of this Vedanta Society, introduced the subject to be discussed, “The Future of Vedanta in America”. The Swami also moderated the discussion and the question & Answer session that followed the two presentations.
