Ramakrishna Mission, Rourkela, Odisha

Ramakrishna Mission, Rourkela, organized a day-long competition on moral storytelling and drawing on September 22, 2024, to commemorate Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address. Over 200 students from various schools in Rourkela participated in the event.

The moral storytelling competition featured short stories drawn from mythology, the gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, and renowned authors. The drawing competition centered on the theme “How we can make our Earth a heaven through afforestation and cleanliness.”

Professors, teachers, and scholars from NIT Rourkela volunteered their time and expertise to ensure the event’s success. All rank holders were awarded prizes, merit certificates, and participants received medals for their participation. The event, a part of the Ashrama’s youth activities, concluded with a lunch organized for all participants, volunteers, and guardians.

Monks, professors, and teachers delivered motivational speeches, inspiring the students to embrace moral values and contribute to a better world.
