The Inaugural Swami Vivekananda U20 Men’s National Football Championship was a resounding success, held at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama’s astro turf ground in Narainpur from March 12th to May 22nd, 2024. The 40-day tournament saw participation from a total of 32 teams, representing 27 states and 5 union territories.
In a thrilling final match, Delhi emerged victorious over Karnataka after a hard-fought battle. Delhi was crowned the champion and received a trophy and gold medals, while Karnataka’s team received silver medals for their runner-up position.
The tournament also recognized individual excellence. The best goalkeeper was awarded the Golden Gloves, the highest scorer received the Golden Ball, and the Player of the Tournament was presented with the Golden Boots.
