Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary and National Youth Day was celebrated by Ramakrishna Mission, Rajamahendravaram with great reverence, zeal and enthusiasm.
The Celebration began at 8.30 am with a procession from the Math to the Statue of Swami Vivekananda at Vivekananda Circle Kambal Tank. Swami Kapalisanandaji Maharaj led to the procession in which about 350 students, senior educationists of the town and devotees participated. Swami Vivekananda statue was profusely garlanded by devotees and guests.
Swachh Bharat Programme was conducted. The 350 students and 50 volunteers cleared the weeds and cleaned up the ground in Government Arts College Compound.
The Children of Bhavi Bharatam ( A Nutrition Programme for children of slum areas) recited prayers and sang songs in praise of Swamiji. Clothes were distributed to the needy children.
Under the auspicous of School of Launguages, Express Yourself, the Ashrama conducted a Youth convention on theme ” The Road to Good in the roughest and Steepest.”
A special medical camp was organised on 11 January 2016 at Kasturiba Ashramam in Seetanangaram Village. In this camp 5 specialist doctors, Paramahamsa Yogananda Netralaya Eye doctors and staff from Rajamahendravaram rendered free service to 323 poor patients.
