Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip, observed the National Youth Day on 12th January 2018 at the premises of Gangasagar Sub-Centre. Total 1280 youth were present and participated in the programme consisting of Recitation, reading from Swamiji’s Message, speeches, songs etc. Swami Durgatmananda, Secretary, presided over the function. Total 18 Secondary Schools, 8 Higher Secondary Schools, one College (Sagar Mahavidyalaya) and other local Youth Organizations of Sagar Island participated in the function. As usual the South 24 Parganas District Administration has arranged buses for the participants. The Programme started at 9.00 a.m. and ended at 10.45 am. After the programme a colourful Procession with Tableau went round the entire Mela ground. All the participants were served Morning Tiffin and Noon prasad.
Evening at 7.00 pm a film was showing in the name of “Biler Diary” directed by Biswasrup Biswas, an ex-student of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur.
