The National Youth day was celebrated with fervor on 12th January, 2018, both in Secondary and Higher Secondary sections of the schools at Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar.
At the Secondary School a function was held in the morning in front of the statue of Swamiji. Amidst vedic chanting by the students, the monks and teachers offered flowers at the feet of Swamiji, thereafter Swami Achyuteshananda, Secretary, spoke about the importance of the day. It was followed by a song on Swamiji by the students.
At the Higher Secondary section, in the morning a meeting was organized in front of the hostel building. The meeting has begun with offering of flowers at the feet of Swamiji by Monks and teachers amidst Vedic chanting by the students. One of the teachers spoke on the importance of the day. It was followed by recitation of ‘The Living God’ by a class X student. One of the Class XII students spoke on ‘Swamiji’s message for the youth and its relevance in today’s society’ followed by a speech by the Vice-Principal. The program came to an end with a closing song by Class XII students.
