Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip celebrated the National Youth Day on 12 January 2019 at the premises of Gangasagar Sub-Centre. 800 youth participated in the programme which consisted of recitation, reading from Swami Vivekananda’s message, speeches, songs etc. The Secretary of the Ashrama presided over the function.
18 Secondary Schools, 8 Higher Secondary Schools, one College (Sagar Mahavidyalaya) and other local Youth Organizations participated in the programme. The South 24 Parganas District Administration had made arrangments to bring the participants in buses.
The Programme started at 9.00 a.m. and concluded at 10.45 am.
After the programme at 11.00 am, a colourful procession with Tableau went round the entire Mela ground.
All the participants were served Morning breakfast and noon prasada.
