Ramakrishna Mission, Medinipur, celebrated the National Youth Day 2022 and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 12 January 2022. In this occasion a morning procession was arranged by the students and devotees from the Ashrama to the Swami Vivekananda statue at Battalachawk, 2 km distance from the Ashrama. Later in the Ashrama hall, students sang song on Swamiji, chanted Swadesh Mantra, and presented a drama on Swamiji. Swami Mayadhishananda, Swami Jayeshananda, Dr. Chanda kumar Dey, Associate Professor, Bagnan College, spoke to the youth on the life of Swamiji and his teachings.
On this occasion a bust statue of Swami Vivekananda was unveiled at Rangamati, Paschim Medinipur, another two statues of Swamiji unveiled at Narayangarh Uchcha Siksha Niltan, Paschim Medinipur, and at Begunia Kshetamohan Vidyapith, Paschim Medinipur. In a virtual programme at Ghatal R S Mahavidyalaya, Paschim Medinipur, Swami Amartyananda spoke on Swamiji’s message to youth.
