Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradesh celebrated the National Youth Day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from 12 – 15 January 2022. On 12 January, the programme was held in the Chetana Hall of the Higher Secondary school of the centre. 17 students gave extempore speech on various topics — Swami Vivekananda and his influence on leaders of Freedom Movement of India; Swami Vivekananda and the World Parliament of Religions; Swami Vivekananda and the Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Vivekananda on youths of India; Swami Vivekananda on India; and Swami Vivekananda and Sister Nivedita.
Dr. Chayon Bangyang, Associate Professor, Dept. of Economics, WRG College, Deomali, Arunachal Pradesh, was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Swami Achyuteshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, delivered the Welcome Address.
Apart from the speeches, the students sang devotional songs on Swamiji and patrotic songs in the programme.
On 13th January, there was essay competition. The topic was “Swamiji’s Vision of a New India”.
On 14th January, there was drawing competition. The topic was “Swami Vivekananda Or Mother India with Indian Map”.
On 15th January, there was self-composed poem competition. The topic was “Swamiji – The monk who changed the world”.
