Ramakrishna Mission Home of Service, Varanasi, celebrated the National Youth Day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 12 January 2022. The celebration started with offering special puja at Lord Vireshwar Shiva Temple (Scindia Ghat) and special puja at Swamji’s Temple in the Sevashrama. A cultural programme was organized where the staffs and the students sang song on Swamiji. Swami Dharanidharananda spoke in Hindi, and Sri Sandeep Das spoke in English, on Swamiji’s life and teachings. National Anthem was sung at the end of the programme. Programme was also arranged for the 5 remote telemedicine centres of Sevashrama. On this occasion shawls, fruits and books on Swamiji was distributed among the indoor patients of the Sevashrama. Doctors, staff, monastic inmates, students and general public enthusiastically attended the programme. A lift was inaugurated on that day at the OPD building for the use of the public. The ashrama campus was decorated with lights in the evening.
