Ramakrishna Math, Chengam with the help of volunteers of Vivekananda Youth forum conducted a Youth Rally, Oratorical competition, etc. in Chengam, on National Youth Day 2023.
- The youth rally started at Chengam main bus stand, @ 09.30 am
- 1300 students and others participated.
- Swami Tatprabhananda explained Swami Vivekananda’s contributions to India’s regeneration.
- National Highways Executive Engineer Shri Narayanan flagged off the rally.
- Free blankets were provided to 35 poor people.
- Painting and elocution competitions were conducted for the school students.
- Elocution competitions were conducted on the school premises between 11.00 am and 12.30 pm.
- Prizes were given to the top three winners of both the competitions
- The procession culminated in the school premises at 12.30 pm.
- The Adhyaksha briefed about the role of youth in nation-building according to Swamiji.
- After the lecture, he distributed the prizes to the winners.
- Nearly 3,000 students and the general public were provided with lunch prasad at three places.
- The three places are; 1. Bus Stand & Main Bazaar, 2. School premises and 3. Two nearby villages.
