Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaleswar, Agartala, marked the 40th anniversary of National Youth Day with a solemn and uplifting ceremony on January 12th, 2024. The ashrama premises resonated with the spirit of Swami Vivekananda’s message as around 250 enthusiastic young minds, students from various schools, gathered for a day of learning and inspiration.
The ceremony commenced at 9 am with a heartfelt opening song and a warm welcome address. Throughout the program, the students actively participated, delivering thoughtful speeches, reciting inspiring poems, and performing spirited group songs. Their vibrant energy filled the atmosphere, captivating both the attending devotees, dignitaries, and followers of Shri Shri Thakur, Shri Maa, and Swamiji.
Adding depth and wisdom to the occasion were esteemed speakers: Justice Swapan Chandra Das, Swami Amartyananda, Swami Indratmananda, Swami Bhaktiprabhananda, Swami Divyarasananda, and Professor Malay Nayak. Their diverse perspectives illuminated different facets of Swamiji’s life and teachings, igniting sparks of introspection and purpose in the young audience.
As the ceremony drew to a close at 12:30 pm, a heartfelt vote of thanks expressed the gratitude of the organizers and participants. A concluding song filled the air with harmony and unity, leaving a lasting impression of the day’s significance. The spirit of service and self-improvement championed by Swamiji Vivekananda was further nurtured as prasad was distributed amongst all present.
