Ramakrishna Mission, Aalo, celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2025 with a series of events aimed at inspiring and engaging the youth.
The day commenced with a vibrant procession through Aalo Town. Starting from 9:30 AM, students from grades V to XII, along with teachers and other staff, marched through the town, carrying the message of Swami Vivekananda. The procession culminated at the Donyi-Polo Temple, where the Deputy Commissioner of Aalo lit the ceremonial lamp.
Following the procession, the focus shifted to academic and cultural activities. Elocution and Essay Writing competitions were held, providing a platform for students to express their thoughts and ideas on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Three monastic members delivered inspiring speeches on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in today’s world. Additionally, 24 youth speakers shared their insights and perspectives on the topic “Swami Vivekananda for Youth.”
Approximately 1000 students participated in the celebrations. Refreshments, including drinking water, snacks, and soft drinks, were distributed to all participants.
The celebration was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the youth of Aalo and fostering a deeper understanding of Swami Vivekananda’s message of service, self-reliance, and spiritual growth.
