National Youth Day 2025: Contai

Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Contai, commemorated Swami Vivekananda’s birthday and National Youth Day on January 12, 2025, with a grand celebration held within the Ashrama premises.

The festivities commenced with a vibrant procession at 8:30 AM, winding its way from Contai Town Hall to the Ashrama. This colorful procession served to energize the community and set the tone for the day’s events.

Following the procession, a dynamic Youth Convention was organized, bringing together 400 students and teachers from 15 schools in Contai. The convention featured a series of engaging activities designed to inspire and educate the youth.

  • Special Discussions: Thought-provoking discussions explored the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing their relevance as ideals for the youth.
  • Swadesh Mantra Path: A collective recitation of the “Swadesh Mantra” (National Song of India) fostered a sense of patriotism and unity among the participants.
  • Cultural Performances: Students from various schools showcased their talents through captivating music, elocution, and recitation performances.

Esteemed guests, including Shri Pradipta Panchadhyayee, Professor at P.K. College, Contai, and Swami Mayadhishananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission Sevashrama, Contai, delivered inspiring speeches. The presence of many other eminent scholars and admirers further enriched the event.

A commemorative booklet containing information about Swami Vivekananda was distributed to all attendees.

Swami Padmananda delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the program’s success.

Tiffin and lunch prasad were served to all participants on the occasion.
