Ramakrishna Math, Dakshineshwar, observed National Youth Day on 12th January 2025 with a series of programs aimed at commemorating the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Key Activities:
- Drawing Competition: A drawing competition on the theme of Swami Vivekananda was organized, attracting the participation of around 24 enthusiastic young artists.
- Winter Jacket Distribution: Warm winter jackets were distributed to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, demonstrating the Ashrama’s commitment to social service.
- Cultural Performances: A vibrant cultural program showcased the talents of the youth. This included:
- Group recitation from the life of Swami Vivekananda.
- A captivating song presented by members of the Youth Group.
- Engaging performances by students from the Swami Vivekananda Computer Centre, featuring group songs, dances, and a yoga demonstration.
- Cultural performances by students from nearby schools.
- Evening Lecture: A thought-provoking lecture on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings was delivered by Swami Shastrajnanandaji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur, inspiring the audience with Swamiji’s message.
