Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Kamarpukur, celebrated National Youth Day on 12 January 2025 with great enthusiasm and fervor. A total of 3000 students from 17 schools, including three primary and one higher secondary school run by the Mission, participated in the celebrations.
The highlights of the day included:
- Procession: A vibrant procession covering a distance of 4 kilometers commenced from the Ramakrishna Mission, Kamarpukur, culminating at Chatti where the participants paid obeisance at the statue of Swami Vivekananda. Following the procession, tiffin was served to all 3000 participating students and other attendees.
- Youth Convention: A significant portion of the celebrations comprised a youth convention, which brought together students, teachers, and guardians for a series of engaging programs.
- Noon Prasad: The day concluded with the serving of noon Prasad to 2000 students and 1500 devotees.
The celebrations provided a valuable platform for the youth to connect with Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings, fostering a spirit of national pride and encouraging them to embrace his ideals of service and self-reliance.
