National Youth Day 2025: Kankurgachhi

On 17th January 2025, Ramakrishna Math (Yogodyan), Kankurgachhi, Kolkata, celebrated National Youth Day to honor Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. The event brought together 395 students and 64 teachers from various schools to celebrate the power of youth and Swamiji’s inspiring message.

Highlights of the Event

The program began with Vedic chanting and a welcome address by Swami Prajneshananda. Students participated in various activities, including:

  • Cultural Performances: Group songs, poetry recitations, and Yogasana demonstrations.
  • Readings from Swamiji’s Teachings: Speeches and writings were recited in Bengali and English.
  • Inspiring Speech: Dr. Bandana Sen, Director General of the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics, addressed the audience, sharing Swamiji’s vision for youth empowerment.
  • Audio Drama and Music Performances: Participants paid tribute to Swamiji through drama and musical acts.

A Memorable Celebration

The program ended with a collective oath-taking ceremony and a Vote of Thanks by Revered Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, followed by the distribution of prasad. The day inspired all participants to live by Swamiji’s ideals of unity, service, and strength.

The event was a fitting tribute to Swamiji’s vision, leaving everyone motivated to make a positive difference in society.
