Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kozhikode, observed National Youth Day on 12th January 2025, commemorating the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Key Activities:
- Procession: A vibrant procession was held on 10th January, involving around 200 students. The procession featured the traditional “chenda melam” (drumming) and showcased placards displaying Swami Vivekananda’s inspiring sayings in both English and Malayalam.
- Day-long Program: A comprehensive program was organized on 12th January, including a diverse range of cultural activities such as speeches, skits, dances, and songs.
- Public Meeting: A well-attended public meeting was held at 3:30 PM, featuring addresses by prominent personalities who discussed the life, teachings, and enduring relevance of Swami Vivekananda in the modern world.
Participation: More than 2000 students, teachers, and parents attended the various programs throughout the day.
Refreshments: Lunch was provided to approximately 500 attendees.
