National Youth Day 2025: Mangaluru

Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru

Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, celebrated National Youth Day with a diverse array of programs held across various venues.

  1. Panchamada Inchara Viveka Smruthi – Hindustani Classical Music Festival: A day-long festival featuring 5 vocal and 1 instrumental Hindustani Classical Music concerts was held at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium on 12th January 2025. Over 500 attendees enjoyed the performances and were provided with refreshments including tiffin, lunch, and evening snacks.
  2. Value Education Programme for Youths: A comprehensive day-long Value Education program was organized for approximately 700 youths from 16 reputed colleges in and around Mangalore on 16th January 2025. The program included interactive sessions led by Swamis and resource persons, focusing on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, followed by a panel discussion on relevant contemporary issues. All participants received tea, snacks, lunch, complimentary booklets, and participation certificates.
  3. Viveka Jagruthi – Orientation Programs for Youths: From 11th to 17th January, orientation sessions on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda were conducted in 8 different colleges across Mangalore. Resource persons from the Math delivered these sessions, with a special program also held at Mangalore University on 13th January.

These multifaceted celebrations effectively commemorated National Youth Day, providing a platform for youth to engage with Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and fostering a deeper understanding of his profound message.
