Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, celebrated National Youth Day with great enthusiasm on January 12, 2025, across two locations: the Secondary Section School and Vivekananda Marg.
At the Secondary School, a function was held in the morning in front of the statue of Swamiji. The event began with Vedic chanting by the students, followed by the monks and teachers offering flowers at the feet of Swamiji. The Secretary then spoke about the significance of National Youth Day, and the ceremony concluded with a song dedicated to Swamiji, performed by the students.
Later, at Vivekananda Marg, another gathering took place in the forenoon, also in front of Swamiji’s statue. The program commenced with the guests, monks, and teachers offering flowers to Swamiji while the students chanted Vedic hymns. Dr. Watsen Bangsia, Principal In-Charge of WRG College, Deomali, delivered a speech on the importance of the day. Following this, students from the institution gave talks on the life and teachings of Swamiji. The Secretary then addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of embodying Swami Vivekananda’s spirit and using his life as a model to achieve success in every endeavor. The event concluded with a closing song performed by the Higher Secondary Section students.
The day was marked by reverence and reflection, inspiring everyone to imbibe Swami Vivekananda’s teachings for personal growth and national development.
