On 12 January 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk, celebrated the 164th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day with a vibrant and inspiring public procession.
Procession Highlights
The event was designed to bring the teachings and presence of the Holy Trio to the local community:
- The Procession: The march featured beautifully decorated tableaus and portraits of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
- Special Representation: A highlight of the event featured ten students from the Ashrama’s Vidyalaya dressed in the iconic “Chicago posture” of Swami Vivekananda, symbolizing his historic address to the World’s Parliament of Religions.
- Participation: Approximately 400 participants, including students, devotees, and members of the general public, walked in the procession to honor the occasion.
The celebration successfully fostered a sense of spiritual heritage and youthful energy in the Tamluk region.
