National Youth Day Celebrations: Hyderabad

The Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad organised National Youth Day Celebrations from 12 January to 17 January 2021. The talks and other events were conducted in the virtual mode as webinars.  The statue of Swami Vivekananda on the Tank Bund ( A bridge on the Hussain Sagar, located in the centre of Hyderabad city) was well decorated with flowers and garlands and rich tributes were paid to Swamiji on the morning of 12 January 2021 by Swamis of the Math and a good number of gathering including eminent persons of the city, youth, volunteers, devotees and NCC team of colleges participated in the celebration.
The following webinars were conducted by the centre:

12 January 2021: Webinar in association with the South Zone group of Delhi Public Schools, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm.  Sri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Hon’ble MoS, Animal Husbandry and MSME, Government of India was the Chief Guest and Sri Sharad Vivek Sagar, Dexterity Global, Patna was the Guest Speaker.

Webinar on Science and Nation- Building in association with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru was held between 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.  Five world-renowned Indian Scientists offered their tribute to Swamiji and presented their thoughts.


14 January 2021: A webinar on Swami Vivekananda and Young Achievers was held from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. 12 young people who were groomed to become Global Leaders in the footsteps of Swamiji presented their thoughts from various parts of the country.


15 January 2021: A webinar on Values – Relevance in the Corporate World was organised in association with NHRD, Hyderabad.  Sri Sridhar Vembu, Padmashri Awardee-2021 and Sri Krish Shanker, NHRD National President participated and interacted on how Swamiji’s ideas and human values should be practiced by the Professionals in the corporate world.


17 January 2021: A webinar on Swamiji’s message for youth, sports, education, etc was held.  Sri Pullela Gopichand, the Chief Badminton Coach of the National team was the Guest Speaker and hundreds of youth from all over the country participated in the Webinar.
