Ramakrishna Mission Nivedita Educational & Cultural Centre, Darjeeling, celebrated the 154th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita with proper sanctity and solemnity in the ‘Roy Villa’ (main building of the ashrama), where Sister Nivedita breathed her last. To pay tribute to this noble soul, a small function was held, where the students of the Gadadhar Abhyudata Prakalpa and Free Coaching Centre participated. Smt. Banhishikha Dey, Additional District Magistrate, Darjeeling and Sri Manish Joshi, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Darjeeling attended the programme. Dry prasad and cooked food were served nearly 100 people.
On this occasion, family ration kits were also distributed among 35 families of nearby localities.
