Starting with Atham on 20th August, 2023 (Malayalam month of Chingam,) the 10th day is Thiruvonam, which falls on 29th August 2023, Onam was celebrated by the Keralites all over the world remembering the rule of Mahabali, the most benevolent ruler.

On 24th August 2023, Onam was celebrated in the Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady, organised by Sri Ramakrishna English Medium Nursery School. Various cultural items were staged by the little boys and girls including the show of Mahabali.

The school bloomed with creativity where each section had breath-taking Pookalams, setting the stage for a festive extravaganza. The vibrant colours and intricate designs truly brought the spirit of Onam alive.

Swami Srividyananda, Adhyaksha of the Kalady Ashrama, started the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and extending his heartfelt Onam greetings to all present.

The students wowed everyone with their performances, including the mesmerising Thiruvathira Kali, spirited tug of war, and other exciting Onam games. The campus resonated with the beats of Panchavadyam as Mahabali, Vamana, Malayali Manka, and Pulikali dancers enchanted everyone in a vibrant procession.
