Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani organized a one-day spiritual programme on 27 November 2025 to inspire students, youth, and spiritual aspirants towards self-introspection (Ātmacharchā) and responsible living.
Swami Sarvapriyanandaji Maharaj, Minister-in-Charge, Vedanta Society of New York, USA, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Forenoon Session: Youth Convention — “In Search of a New Life” (Notun Jiboner Khuje)
- Began at 9:30 am with Vedic chanting by the Ashrama Secretary and bhajans by Swami Divyavratanandaji Maharaj (Ramakrishna Mission, Guwahati).
- ‘Charaibeti’, a booklet on moral development, was released by Swami Sarvapriyanandaji Maharaj.
- A needy student received a set of books under the Swami Prameyananda Book Bank Scheme.
- Swami Sarvapriyanandaji Maharaj addressed the youth on the challenges of life, emphasizing mindfulness, concentration, and selflessness.
- The session concluded with an interactive Q&A at 11:45 am.
- Over 400 registered participants attended; all were provided with conference kits and tiffin packets.
Afternoon Session: “Mon Niye Katha”
The event was smoothly conducted with the support of local administration and volunteers from Belur Math and Kalyani Ashrama.
Commenced with Vedic chanting and bhajans by Swami Shivadhishananda (Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur) and Swami Divyavratanandaji Maharaj.
Swami Shastrajnanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur, delivered a lecture.
Swami Sarvapriyanandaji Maharaj spoke on various dimensions of the mind from multiple perspectives.
Following a lively Q&A, the session concluded at 5:15 pm.
The programme witnessed 2,300 registered participants (online/offline).
Participants were provided with packed tiffin, and noon prasad arrangements were also made.
