Ramakrishna Math, Barisha observed Plantation Festival-2024 with a tree-planting ceremony called “Briksha Ropan Utsav” on July 22nd, 2024 within the Math premises.
75 saplings, primarily Mahogany, Sishu, and Sirish, were kindly donated by the Forest Department, Eden Garden, Kolkata, Government of West Bengal, through local clubs. We also received a few saplings from generous well-wishers.
The program commenced with Vedic chanting and devotional prayers (pranam mantras) offered to Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. The monks, residents of our Home for the Aged (both men and women), and staff members all actively participated in the tree planting.
