Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College was inaugurated on 21 June 1946 by Revered Swami Kailasananda ji Maharaj, the then President of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madras.
In commemoration of 75 Years of the College, a special Puja was offered to Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.
In view of the Government Regulations in regard to COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown, no public function was held.
The Platinum Jubilee celebration was carried out on 21 June 2021 with garlanding of Bronze Statues of ‘Swami Vivekananda in Wandering Monk Posture’ in Northern Mandapam of the campus and  ‘Swami Vivekananda in Chicago Posture’ in Southern Mandapam of the Campus.
The puja was performed at the main Heritage Building. Puja was also performed in the prayer hall, in addition to Vedic chanting, Devotional songs & Bhajans.
Revered Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math blessed the occasion through online mode. Revered Maharaj gave Benedictory speech.
