Ramakrisha Mission Ashrama, Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Morabadi, Ranchi, has been awarded Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Protshahan Puraskar (National) for the period 2016-17 as the best KVK of the country among the about 650 KVKs operating in district level as it has played vital role in following field :
- Improving productivity, profitability and livelihood through assessment and refinement of technologies in agriculture and related area.
- It has undertaken activities towards achieving goal of scientific agriculture and animal husbandry with focus on integrated intensive organic system among poor tribal communities.
- It has also been working hard to achieve the
- Zero conventional energy use
- Zero Water loss
- Zero Chemical Uses
- Zero Plastic Zone in its KVK premises.
- It has achieved remarkable progress in establishing Gravity Irrigation in villages.
- Innovative extension methodology adopted by the KVK include, formation of village and block level organizations to empower them to execute the project work through trained youth of Divyayan KVK,
- Organizing monthly meeting of executives of village level organizations and to finalize action plan for the next month.
- Using successful farmers as resource persons by training them as master trainers.
A certificate and a cheque of Rs. 25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakh) was handed over to Revered Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of the Ashrama by Sri Radha Mohan Singh, Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Govt. of India in the gracious presence of Shri Sudrashan Bhagat Hon’ble State Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of India and others, on 16 July 2017.
Divyayan was awarded the zonal award also for the year 2016-17.
