On the occasion of National Youth Day, Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, re-consecrated the renovated College Prayer Hall and UG Chemistry Laboratory, at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Chennai, on 12 January 2024.
The Group D staff (total 50) of the college were specially honoured on the stage and blessed by Most Revered Maharaj for their full blooded support in restoring the entire 3.5 acre College area inundated by 4 ft of water after the Michaung Cyclone on 4 December 2023 in a record 5 days to enable reopening the College on time.
To create social awareness among the students a 12 minute short film in Tamil on the theme of “Cleanliness”, directed and acted by the college students, was released and was screened for the entire college on this day.
