Our centre in Durban, along with its sub-centres, continued Covid‑19 pandemic relief work by way of distributing 1700 kg rice, 200 kg maize meal, 125 kg flour, 200 kg fortified cereals, 56 kg noodles, 1000 kg pulses, 2500 kg assorted vegetables, 85 kg assorted spices, 325 kg salt, 712 litres cooking oil, 700 cans of tinned food, 30 kg soup powder, 20,000 tea bags, 275 kg sugar, 350 litres milk, 200 kg milk powder, 20 kg biscuits, 100 loaves of bread, 150 cakes, 4494  breakfast cereal packets, 17 litres fruit juice concentrate, 36 children’s snack packs, 400 matchboxes, 200 tubes of toothpaste, 800 bars of soap, 420 adult napkins and 433 litres detergent in February. The centre also distributed a litre of milk and a loaf of bread each to 8 families thrice a week. Further, the centre’s clinic sponsored 32 dialysis sessions for three patients and provided counselling service to healthcare professionals and workers.
Assam:In response to a fire incident in Karimganj town on 15 February, Karimganj centre distributed 4 kg pulses, 10 packets of biscuits, 3 saris, 1 shirt, 4 blankets, 4Â shawls, 3 sets of utensils and a mosquito-net to the three affected families on 17 February.
