Relief Services : A Brief Report as on 1 October 2022

In response to the floods in Odisha in August, the following centres continued their relief operations, the details of which are given below:

Bhubaneswar centre distributed 10,045 kg raw rice flakes (chira), 200 kg fried rice flakes, 2559 kg molasses, 848 saris, 924 dhotis, 1004 towels and 4 torches among 3495 families in Puri, Cuttack and Khurda districts from 26 August to 17 September.

Puri Math centre distributed 4004 kg rice, 2000 kg wheat flour, 420 kg pulses, 400 kg salt and 400 kg sugar among 400 families in Puri district on 4 September.

Asansol: 1365 saris on 24 September.

Bagda: 150 plates of food, 39 kg pulses, 7 kg soya chunks, 7 kg gram, 13 litres cooking oil, 13 kg salt, 11 kg assorted spices, 13 kg sugar, 13 packets of biscuits, 5 kg chanachur (a snack mix), 7 kg puffed rice (muri), 100 T-shirts, 100 sets of ladies’ garments, 100 bed‑sheets, 100 mosquito nets and 100 towels from 11 July to 27 August.

Bamunmura: 500 saris from 10 to 26 September.

Baranagar Math: 832 saris, 300 lungis, 200 dhotis and 200 ladies’ garments from 10 to 25 September.

Barisha: 670 saris, 250 lungis and 257 dhotis from 8 to 24 September.

Chennai Math: 400 kg rice, 80 kg pulses, 80 litres cooking oil, 16 kg chilli powder and 80 kg sugar on 17 September.

Cooch Behar: 26 shirts, 26 trousers and 25 sets of ladies’ garments on 18 September.

Dibrugarh: 280 plates of food, 80 kg wheat flour, 20 kg chira, 40 kg pulses, 20 kg soya chunks, 40 kg salt, 40 litres cooking oil, 40 kg sugar, 40 packets of biscuits, 40 bars of bathing soap and 40 bars of washing soap in September.

Hatamuniguda: 65 saris and 85 lungis on 4 September.

Headquarters (through Estate Department): 350 saris, 250 dhotis and 365 sets of children’s garments on 24 September.

Koyilandy: 15 saris on 7 September.

Krishna Nagar: 160 plates of food, 100 bottles of honey, 100 steel plates, 100 sets of garments, 100 tubes of toothpaste, and 100 bottles of sanitizer from 25 August to 1 September.

Manasadwip: 4050 saris and 494 children’s garments from 28 August to 24 September.

Nabadwip: 1500 assorted garments on 24 and 25 September.

Puri Mission: 500 saris from 9 to 19 September.

Rajarhat Bishnupur: 340 saris on 25 September.

Shyampukur Bati, Kolkata: 900 kg rice, 300 kg flour, 300 kg pulses, 150 litres cooking oil and 300 kg sugar on 10 and 11 September.

Silchar: 592 food packets, 2657 saris, 2337 dhotis and 1000 mosquito nets from 28 August to 28 September.

Vadodara: 205 school bags, 1845 notebooks, 1230 pens, 1230 pencils, 1230 erasers, 1230 sharpeners, 205 stationery pouches, 205 scales and 205 geometry boxes in August and September.

Vrindaban: 1600 food packets from 10 to 24 August.

Phoenix: 2100 kg rice, 250 kg maize meal, 25 kg wheat flour, 250 kg cereals, 1500 kg pulses, 100 kg soya chunks, 2500 kg assorted vegetables, 140 kg assorted spices, 385 kg salt, 850 litres cooking oil, 600 cans of tinned food, 40 kg soup powder, 5600 breakfast cereal sachets, 2700 packets of biscuits, 150 cakes, 35,000 tea bags, 350 litres milk, 127 kg milk powder, 400 kg sugar, 100 kg pasta, 100 kg porridge, 150 loaves of bread, 1600 sachets of peanut butter, 800 bars of chocolates, 50 litres flavoured milk, 20 kg snacks, 25 kg sweetmeat, 15 kg Horlicks, 10 sets of household utensils (including crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils), 500 matchboxes, 20 litres sanitizer, 250 bars of washing soap, 450 bars of bathing soap, 250 tubes of toothpaste, 60 toothbrushes, 10 pairs of shoes, 480 adult napkins, 11 blankets, 11 towels and 620 assorted garments in September.
