Cyclone Relief
Cyclone Fengal made landfall over Puducherry on 30 November, causing floods in Puducherry and surrounding areas in India and some parts of Sri Lanka. In the wake of the calamity, the following centres conducted relief operations as mentioned below:
India:
Tamil Nadu:
- Chennai Math, along with its sub-centre at Puducherry, served meals to 1100 persons and distributed 4000 litres drinking water among 2000 persons in Puducherry from 1 to 3 December.
- Villupuram centre served meals to 5100 persons from 2 to 5 December and distributed 1125 kg rice, 225 kg flour, 450 kg pulses, 225 kg semolina, 225 kg potatoes, 225 kg onions, 450 litres cooking oil, 135 kg assorted spices, 450 packets of biscuits and 450 bedsheets among 225 families in Villupuram district and Puducherry on 21 December. The centre also distributed 100 kg flour, 100 kg pulses, 100 kg semolina, 200 packets of vermicelli, 100 litres cooking oil, 110 kg assorted spices, 200 packets of pepper powder, 200 packets of salt, 50 kg tamarind, 100 kg sugar, 20 kg tea powder and 400 packets of biscuits among 200 physically challenged people on 21 December.
Sri Lanka:
- Colombo centre distributed 687 kg rice, 458 kg pulses, 229 kg sugar, 92 kg milk powder, 46 kg tea powder and 458 bars of bathing soap among 229 affected families in Jaffna and Kilinochchi districts in December.
- Batticaloa sub-centre of Colombo branch served meals to 1150 people and distributed 1950 kg rice, 390 kg flour, 390 kg pulses, 98 kg soya chunks, 390 kg salt and 390 kg sugar among 390 local families from 29 November to 10 December.

- Jamshedpur: 500 saris, 250 lungis and 250 dhotis from 13 November to 3 December.
- Jamtara: 200 saris, 200 lungis and 200 dhotis from 13 to 27 December.
- Jhargram: 100 lungis from 12 to 19 December.
- Kailashahar: 200 saris from 1 to 18 December.

- Ootacamund: 200 packets of biscuits on 20 December.
- Rajamahendravaram: 400 meals and 200 saris on 17 and 20 December.
- Ranchi Sanatorium: 500 saris from 1 November to 14 December.
- Siliguri: 800 meals, 1000 saris, 368 food packets, 400 packets of biscuits and 440 packets of energy drink from 4 October to 11 December.
- Somsar: 400 saris from 27 September to 4 October.
- Sribhumi (Karimganj): 125 dhotis on 30 November and 1 December.
- Thirumukkudal: 30 saris, 24 dhotis and 24 towels on 22 December.

Distress Rehabilitation
Jharkhand: Ranchi Morabadi centre built two toilets in Khunti and Ranchi districts; they were inaugurated on 15 December.
Economic Rehabilitation
Rajasthan: Khetri centre distributed 80 sewing machines to as many poor women on 22 December.
Infrastructural Support
Fiji: Fiji centre handed over 200 diapers, 45 bedsheets, 38 quilts, 11 pillow covers, a hospital bed, an ICU bed, a baby scale, 2 kidney dialysis machines, an ECG machine, 20 surgical scissors, 13 forceps, 2 clamps, 5 dental pliers, a water purifier and a dressing trolley to the hospitals and dialysis centres in Fiji between August and December.
