Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady organised Retired Teachers & Alumni Meeting at Brahmanandodayam Schools, Kalady. Held on May 1, 2024, at the Swami Agamananda Memorial Open Stadium, Kalady, the event commemorated the rich legacy of education nurtured by the institution since 1936 under the guidance of Srimat Agamananda Swamigal.
The gathering served as a platform for former educators and students from all batches to come together, fostering connections and celebrating the institution’s evolution. Swami Srividyananda emphasized the importance of reunification and commended contributions towards societal welfare guided by Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. Swami Swaprabhavananda, Swami Ajiteshananda, and Swami Bhuvanatmananda imparted blessings, while Dr. K. Jayakumar, IAS, and Dr. S.K. Vasanthan shared insightful perspectives, enriching the gathering.
The event also honored retired teachers reaching 75 years old and above for their dedicated service, with reflections shared by Sri T.R. Vallabhan Namboodhri, and Smt. Usharani. Sri P.B. Sajeev and Sri Arun Obroi highlighted the collaborative efforts that made the event possible. Additionally, alumni presented a vibrant cultural program, adding a touch of nostalgia, while batch-wise meetings provided a platform for sharing school experiences. The meeting served as a celebration of the institution’s legacy, honored its present, and inspired a collective vision for the future, culminating with the rendition of the National Anthem.
